The topic plan for the first half of the term ending on Friday, 17th February, 2012 will be WATER. The children will explore schematic interests around the topic of water. They will engage in science experiments to learn about the water cycle, freezing and melting, absorbency and reflection. Many activities will demonstrate how useful and important water is in our daily life and vital for all life on our planet.

Little Sponges Montessori will also be donating to Water Aid and as part of this topic, will be organising sponsored walks, locally, during the course of the term, to raise awareness of the challenges faced by children in other countries and raise important funds to donate to the Water Aid charity.

Little Sponges is planning a visit to Greenwich Fire Station.  The children will learn how firefighters use water to put out fires.
