Position: MONTESSORI DIRECTOR/DIRECTRESS

Hours: 8:30am-4pm Mon-Thu; 8:30am-12:30pm Fri
Type: Term-term (36-weeks)

Little Sponges Montessori is an ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted) nursery in Greenwich, London. The nursery is a small, nurturing environment with 12 children in each session, aged 2-4 years. It has been created to feel like a home-from-home environment where children enjoy, learn and discover as they take their first steps from home to a learning environment that is specially prepared for them. 

Little Sponges Montessori is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all staff is expected to share this commitment.  An Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references will be required.

Requirements: 

• Recognised Montessori qualification
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, child development and Montessori philosophy
• Competent use of Montessori apparatus
• Excellent written and spoken English are necessary
• Effective communication skills
• Experience in managing key children
• Newly qualified applicants will be considered

Additional information:

• Part-time position (mornings only; 8:30am-12:30pm) may be considered
• Non-contact time provided per week
